Join us at Jonathan Dickinson State Park for the 18th annual FireFest on Saturday, October 19, from 1 to 9 PM. This day-long celebration promises fun for all ages with activities ranging from live fire demos to rides, a spooky trail, a pumpkin patch, a kids zone, live music, and more. Experience the vibrant culture of our park through thrilling demonstrations, guided nature walks, and educational talks from our expert rangers about the crucial role of prescribed fire.

FireFest 2024 is a unique opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, learn about local wildlife, and engage in a variety of entertainment and enlightening activities. Whether you’re a long-time park enthusiast or a first-time visitor, there’s something for everyone.

LIVE BURN DEMOS

Live fire demonstrations! Learn about the importance of fire and its positive impact on Florida’s Wildlife.

RIDES & ACTIVITIES

Enjoy a host of fun activities, including hay and swamp buggy rides, a spooky trail, a pumpkin patch, bounce houses, and a kids zone!

MUSIC FOOD & MORE

Experience live music, delicious food from local vendors, guided hikes, educational activities, and much more at FireFest!

EVENT ADMISSION

Park admission is $6 per vehicle (2-8 passengers). For those with an annual state park pass or a valid punch card, your event admission is already covered. We encourage everyone else to purchase event admission in advance to save time at the entrance. You can also pay at the gate upon arrival. That's it—there are no other fees to simply attend FireFest!

For day of admission, cash and carpooling are highly recommended.

RIDES & SPECIAL PASSES

Purchase tickets for bounce houses, hayrides, swamp buggy rides, and pumpkin patch in advance to save time! Order tickets pre-sale for discounts and avoid the lines on the day of the event.

Bounce house all-day pass — $5
Pumpkin w/ Craft Kit — $10
Hayride — $7 ($5 for Members)
Swamp Buggy Afternoon —1 p.m. to 4 p.m. $25 ($20 for Members)
Swamp Buggy Evening — 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. $30 ($25 for Members)


LIVE BURNS

Experience the unique thrill of live burn demonstrations, an exclusive opportunity in Florida to witness a controlled burn up close. Alongside, firefighters will showcase their skills and equipment, and kids will even get a chance to spray a real fire hose, making this an unforgettable experience for all ages.

Fire Buckets — 1:30, 2:30, 5:30, 6:30 p.m.
Spray a Fire Hose — 1 to 3 p.m. & 5 to 7 p.m.
